New name and new address
On April 1, Werkzeugbau Siegfried Hofmann GmbH became Siegfried Hofmann GmbH. The name change takes into account the developments of the past years. The company from Lichtenfels has long since ceased to be a mere toolmaker (Werkzeugbau). The mechanical engineering, automation and particle foam divisions are now just as much part of the company’s portfolio as injection moulding toolmaking. In addition, the company launched its first major in-house product, the BEAD.MACHINE, in March of this year. The moulding machine for particle foam processing offers completely new approaches in plastics processing.
“With the new name, we are underlining these developments of recent years,” explains Managing Director Stefan Hofmann. “At the same time, with the name ‘Siegfried Hofmann GmbH’ we are emphasizing our tradition as a family company,” says the grandson of company founder Siegfried Hofmann.
In addition, the official headquarters of Siegfried Hofmann GmbH also changed on April 1. With the completion of the move to the new plant, the company address is now Siegfried-Hofmann-Straße 1+3. Stefan Hofmann says: “We are pleased that, despite the challenging times, we were able to successfully relocate to our new plant and stay on schedule. Our new plant now houses the majority of our administration, warehouse and assembly operations. It was therefore logical that we now also officially move our company address to the new location.”
The original location in the street An der Zeil, not far from the new plant, will remain. Among other things, the production center and the apprentice-training center are located there.
