The customer

Erlenbach Maschinen GmbH is an internationally oriented manufacturer of particle foam processing machines and automation systems based in Lautert. For more than 60 years, the company has been supplying solutions for particle foam processing systems to customers around the world.

The task

The experts at Hofmann set about developing a new tool for the customer. The requirements for this particular tool were varied and individual to the customer:

  • Reducing cycle times
  • Saving steam and water to reduce energy consumption
  • Improving the sealing quality of the particle foam beads

The solution

The employees at Hofmann Impulsgeber initially used the customer’s existing item data for the sparking wine cooler. The experts then set about developing a media-saving tool for the component. In addition, Hofmann worked on a solution for integrating the tool into the customer’s existing machines. In the end, Hofmann Impulsgeber developed a 3D-printed particle foam tool that easily met all of the customer’s requirements.

The result

The customer has saved a great deal on media since the tool was introduced. Energy consumption has indeed decreased and the customer is very satisfied with the result. Once again, we’ve proven that Hofmann Impulsgeber is your reliable partner when it comes to particle foam.
