Effective and systematic energy management

DIN EN ISO 50001:2011

Energy management systems according to the ISO 50001 standard have one major objective: the continuous improvement of a company’s energy-related performance. Hofmann has succeeded in introducing an energy management system and constantly optimising its performance. This brings us even closer to the forefront as a sustainable and environmentally conscious company. Energy management has many advantages:

  • A uniform structure that facilitates the combination with other standards.
  • Improvement of the energy balance and the reduction of CO2 emissions.
  • Increased efficiency and lower energy costs.
  • Transparency in optimising the energy rate.
  • Raising employees’ awareness of more efficient energy use.

Constant environmental protection and sustainability

DIN EN ISO 14001:2015

Environmental management according to ISO 14001 is an important part of corporate environmental protection in line with international standards. We avoid negative environmental effects such as air pollution in our production. In order to maintain our certification, we have to meet a number of conditions:

  • Precise planning and definition of environmental goals.
  • Planning and implementation of measures to meet these goals.
  • Monitoring of responsibilities and implementation with regard to these environmental goals.
  • Constant improvement in environmental management – no stagnation.
  • Adjustment of the goals and guidelines over time.

The ISO 9001 standard is recognised worldwide and certifies that Hofmann has a flawless and effective quality management system. Because quality for our customers is as important to us as our environment. Hofmann adheres to seven principles to receive this certification:
